ART REQUIREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS
Custom Lettering LLC will be as flexible as possible in accepting any artwork you submit. We will work with you in trying to make the end result meet your standards. However, to keep the process as efficient as possible please be aware of the following requirements.

CAMERA-READY ART
Camera-ready art is defined as black and white line art that has sharp, clean lines, requires no retouching, and is complete with text and/or graphics. Clean black and white copies printed at 800 dpi or higher are usually acceptable.

Art is not camera-ready if:
• in color
• a gray tone, halftone, shadow, texture, or screen
• photocopied or faxed
• a business card, stationery, or newsprint
• soiled, smudged, torn, or bent
• we have to add text to a logo
• we have to add a logo to text

Acceptable Formats & Specifications:  We prefer ..cdr or .eps files. Other files like .jpg, .pdf, .doc, .tif, faxed art, letterhead and business cards will be accepted. Although rare, these files may incur an art charge if your logo cannot be reproduced cleanly from them.  If necessary, we will contact you before charging any additional art fees.

Electronic/Digital
- Platform: PC  (Please save all MAC files in PC version converting all text to outlines)
- File types:  Corel X3, Adobe Illustrator V9, Word
- File format: native file format, .cdr, .eps
(converted to black and white or outlines).
- Fonts: All necessary fonts must be converted to curves/outlines or included with the file.Top

To ensure timely completion of your order, we recommend using one of the following standard graphic programs:
• Corel X3 • Adobe Illustrator

Limitations: Microsoft Office programs i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint etc., are not graphic programs and are not recommended file formats and may incur an additional art fee. Top

We do not recommend Jpeg (.jpg) or low resolution bitmaps (600 dpi is lowest acceptable resolution for bitmap format) as artwork files. These file formats may incur an additional art fee. We will contact you before charging any additional art fees.

Art Charges: Complex art requiring clean up or redrawing will incur an art charge. Art charges are billed at $40 per 1 hour. (1 Hour Minimum Applies).
